Chat therapy may be a good fit if you:
- Feel comfortable expressing yourself through writing
- Appreciate having time to reflect before responding
- Have reliable access to a private device and secure internet connection
- Are comfortable waiting for responses during asynchronous communication
- Are looking for support with concerns such as anxiety, stress, life transitions, parenting,
chronic illness, relationship challenges, burnout, or self-esteem
Because every person's needs are unique, we'll work together to determine whether chat therapy is the
most appropriate treatment option for you.
When Chat Therapy May Not Be the Best Fit
Chat therapy isn't appropriate for every situation. If you're experiencing a mental health crisis, have
concerns about your immediate safety, or would benefit from closer assessment through verbal
conversation, your therapist may recommend phone or video therapy instead. Your safety and quality of
care will always guide our recommendations.
Privacy and Confidentiality
Your privacy is important to us. Chat therapy is provided using secure electronic communication
systems, and all clinically relevant messages become part of your confidential health record. While
every reasonable effort is made to protect your personal information, no form of electronic
communication can ever be guaranteed to be completely risk-free. These risks, along with your
responsibilities and our privacy practices, are reviewed in detail before treatment begins.
